REMOVAL & INSTALLATION CRV Models



FRONT
  1. Note the radio security code and disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front grille as outlined in this section.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry out the inner clip pin from the clips along the top of the bumper and remove the clips.
  6.  
  7. Remove the self-tapping Phillips screws from the lower part of the bumper just in front of the wheel opening, and rear most portion of the bumper in the forward portion of the front wheel well.

  1. Remove the 3 special shouldered bolts from the left and right front lower center portion of the bumper, and from the center of the lower air intake.
  2.  
  3. Have an assistant help guide the bumper away from the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

REAR

  1. Note the radio security code and disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Open the tailgate.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry out the inner clip pin from the clips along the top of the bumper and the rear lower edge, then remove the clips.
  6.  
  7. Remove the self-tapping Phillips screws from the rear mud guards and front most portion of the bumper in the upper rear portion of the wheel well.
  8.  
  9. Remove the 2 special shouldered bolts from the left and right corners, near the tailgate seal.
  10.  
  11. Remove the bulb sockets from the side marker lights.
  12.  
  13. Have an assistant help guide the bumper away from the vehicle.
  14.  
  15. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  16.  

Odyssey Models

FRONT
  1. Note the radio security code, then disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bolt from the lower part of the bumper just in front of the wheel opening, and remove the self-tapping screw from the rear most portion of the bumper at the forward portion of the front wheel well.
  4.  
  5. On V6 Odyssey models, perform the following:
    1. Remove the grille.
    2.  
    3. Remove the pins and clips from the lower front of the bumper.
    4.  

  6.  
  7. On 4-cylinder Odyssey models, remove the bolts from the left and right side lower brackets for the bumper at the ends of the lower air intake.
  8.  
  9. Pull the ends of the bumper outward.
  10.  
  11. Have an assistant help guide the bumper up and away from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  14.  

REAR
  1. Note the radio security code and disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Open the tailgate.
  4.  
  5. Carefully pry out the inner clip pin from the clips along the top of the bumper and the rear lower edge, then remove the clips.
  6.  
  7. Remove the self-tapping Phillips screws from the front most portion of the bumper in the upper rear portion of the wheel well.
  8.  
  9. On V6 Odyssey models, perform the following:
    1. Remove the clip at the edge of the wheel opening area.
    2.  
    3. Remove the self-tapping screws at the top outside corners of the bumper.
    4.  
    5. Remove the 4 trim caps and remove the mounting bolts.
    6.  

  10.  
  11. Have an assistant help pull the sides of the bumper outward and guide the bumper away from the vehicle.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  14.
