REMOVAL & INSTALLATION CRV Models



MIRROR ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Lower the door glass and unsnap the inside triangular mirror trim by hand.
  4.  
  5. Detach the electrical connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the mirror mounting bolts, and remove the mirror assembly.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
  10.  

MIRROR GLASS

CAUTION
Wear gloves and eye protection when removing the mirror glass.

  1. Carefully pull out the bottom edge of the mirror holder by hand.
  2.  
  3. Carefully and evenly, pull the lower edge of the mirror holder slowly, until it unsnaps from the actuator.
  4.  

To install:
  1. If the hooks stuck to the mirror holder, remove them and reinstall them onto the actuator base.
  2.  
  3. Carefully align the clips and hooks, and using even pressure, snap the mirror holder onto the actuator base.
  4.  
  5. Check the mirror operation.
  6.  

4-Cylinder Odyssey Models

MIRROR ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the door panel, as outlined in this section.
  4.  
  5. Apply masking tape to the base of the mirror, then use a clean shop towel to protect the finish, and carefully pry the lower portion of the mirror base cover off the mirror and remove the bolt.
  6.  
  7. Detach the electrical connector and harness clips, then peel away the hole seal and remove the bolts.
  8.  
  9. While holding the mirror, detach the cast in hook from the door skin and remove the mirror.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

MIRROR GLASS

CAUTION
Wear gloves and eye protection when removing the mirror glass.

  1. Remove the hole seal at the bottom of the mirror and remove the screw.
  2.  
  3. Pull out the mirror glass holder along with the actuator, then label and disconnect the actuator wires.
  4.  
  5. Carefully and evenly, pull the lower edge of the mirror holder slowly, until it unsnaps from the actuator.
  6.  

To install:
  1. If the hooks stuck to the mirror holder, remove them and reinstall them onto the actuator base.
  2.  
  3. Carefully align the clips and hooks, and using even pressure, snap the mirror holder onto the actuator base.
  4.  
  5. Check the mirror operation.
  6.  

V6 Odyssey Models

MIRROR ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Completely lower the door glass.
  4.  
  5. Carefully unsnap the upper portion of the inside mirror trim by hand, then lift upward and remove the trim.
  6.  
  7. On models equipped with power mirrors, remove the door panel and detach the electrical connector as outlined in this section.
  8.  
  9. Remove the mirror mounting bolts while supporting the mirror.
  10.  
  11. While holding the mirror, release the clip and remove the mirror.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

MIRROR GLASS

CAUTION
Wear gloves and eye protection when removing the mirror glass.

  1. Carefully and evenly, pull up on the lower edge of the mirror holder slowly, until it unsnaps from the actuator. If necessary, disconnect the heated mirror leads.
  2.  

To install:
  1. Carefully align the clips and hooks, and using even pressure, snap the mirror holder downward onto the actuator base.
  2.  
  3. Check the mirror operation.
  4.
