At the recommended intervals in the maintenance schedule, the fluid level in the power steering reservoir (if so equipped) should be checked. Run the engine until the fluid reaches operating temperature. Turn the steering wheel from lock-to-lock several times to relieve the system of any trapped air. Turn off the engine. On some models just pull out the dipstick from the rear of the reservoir, on others unscrew the cap and dipstick assembly from the reservoir. The level must be maintained between the "FULL" mark and the end of the dipstick. Top up as necessary with ATF Type F.
