REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Drain the cooling system by opening the radiator cap and then the draincock. The draincock is located at the lower rear corner of the radiator.
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

Remove the air cleaner housing, if necessary.
Disengage the overflow tube from the recovery tank.
Remove the retaining bolts from the shroud, if so equipped, and position the shroud over the fan, clear of the radiator.
Disconnect the transmission cooling lines from the bottom of the radiator, if so equipped.
Disengage the heated water bypass hose attached to the lower tank, if equipped.
Disconnect the upper and lower hoses from the radiator.

Install the radiator and tighten the retainers to 10-15 ft. lbs. (14-20 Nm).
Engage the automatic transmission cooling lines, if equipped.
Engage the upper and lower radiator hoses and tighten the clamps securely.
If equipped, connect the heated water bypass hose attached to the lower tank.
Position the shroud and tighten the retainers to 4-6 lbs. (5-8 Nm).
Connect the overflow tube from the recovery tank, if equipped.
Fill the cooling system and check for leaks.
