REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Relieve the fuel system pressure.
Remove the upper intake manifold assembly.
Special tool T81P-19623-G or equivalent is necessary to release the garter springs that secure the fuel line/hose connections.
Disconnect the fuel crossover hose from the fuel supply manifold. Disconnect the fuel supply and return line connections at the fuel supply manifold.
On some models it may be possible to remove the manifold with injectors attached.
Remove the two fuel supply manifold retaining bolts. Carefully disengage the manifold from the fuel injectors and remove the manifold.
When installing: make sure the injector caps are clean and free of contamination. Place the fuel supply manifold over each injector and seat the injectors into the manifold. Make sure the caps are seated firmly.
Torque the fuel supply manifold retaining bolts to 15-22 ft. lbs. (20-27 Nm). Install the remaining components in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel injectors may be serviced after the fuel supply manifold is removed. Grasp the injector and pull up on it while gently rocking injector from side to side. Inspect the mounting O-rings and replace any that show deterioration.
