Removal & Installation

Suzuki Forenza 2007-2008

Suzuki Reno 2007-2008

  1. Remove the right front wheel well oil pan scraper.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the oil pressure switch

To install:

  1. Install the oil pressure switch.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the oil pressure switch to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure switch.
  6.  
  7. Install the right front wheel well oil pan scraper.
  8.  
  9. Check the oil level.
  10.  

Testing

  1. Remove the right front wheel well oil pan scraper.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the oil pressure switch

  6.  
  7. Install the adapter KM-135 in place of the oil pressure switch.
  8.  
  9. Connect the pressure gauge KM-498-B to the adapter.
  10.  
  11. Start the engine and check the oil pressure at idle speed and engine temperature of 176 °F (80°C).
    NOTE
    The minimum oil pressure should be 4.35 psi.

  12.  
  13. Stop the engine and remove the pressure gauge KM-498-B and the adapter KM-135.

  15. Install the oil pressure switch.
  16.  
  17. Tighten the oil pressure switch to30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  18.  
  19. Connect the electrical connector to the oil pressure switch.
  20.  
  21. Install the right front wheel well oil pan scraper.
  22.  
  23. Check the oil level.
