Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Drain the engine cooling system.
  4.  
  5. Remove the main and the auxiliary cooling fans.
  6.  
  7. Remove the upper radiator retaining bolt.
  8.  
  9. Remove the upper radiator retaining bracket.
  10.  
  11. Remove the upper radiator hose clamp.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.
  14.  
  15. Remove the hose clamp from the surge tank hose at the radiator.
  16.  
  17. Disconnect the surge tank hose from the radiator.
  18.  
  19. Remove the lower radiator hose clamp.
  20.  
  21. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
  22.  
  23. Disconnect the transaxle cooler pipes from the lower radiator tank, if equipped.
  24.  
  25. Remove the bolt and the transaxle pipe support clamp from the radiator.
  26.  
  27. Remove the radiator from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Set the radiator into place in the vehicle with the radiator bottom posts in the rubber shock bumpers.
  2.  
  3. Connect the transaxle cooler pipes to the lower radiator tank, if equipped.
  4.  
  5. Install the transaxle pipe and support clamp to the radiator with a bolt.
  6.  
  7. Connect the surge tank hose to the radiator.
  8.  
  9. Secure the surge tank hose with a hose clamp.
  10.  
  11. Connect the upper radiator hose and the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
  12.  
  13. Secure each hose with a hose clamp.
  14.  
  15. Position the radiator retainers in place.
  16.  
  17. Install the upper radiator retainer bracket.
  18.  
  19. Install the upper radiator retaining bolt.
  20.  
  21. Install the main and the auxiliary cooling fans.
  22.  
  23. Refill the engine cooling system.
  24.  
  25. Connect the negative battery cable.
  26.  
  27. Tighten the radiator retaining bolt to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm)
