Diagnosis & Testing
Window Motor
  1. Install a 30-amp fused jumper wire between the control terminal A and 12 volts. Momentarily install a jumper wire between the control terminal B and ground. The appropriate window motor should perform the UP or DOWN function.
    1. If the function does not perform as specified, replace the appropriate window motor.
    2.

  3. Reverse the jumper wires. The appropriate window motor should perform the DOWN or UP function.
    1. If the function does not perform as specified, replace the appropriate window motor.

Window Switch
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the driver window switch
  2.  
  3. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminals D and C and the B+ circuit terminal E with the LR Switch in the INACTIVE position.
    1. If less than infinite resistance, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  4.  
  5. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal D and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the UP position.
    1. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  6.  
  7. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal C and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the DOWN position.
    1. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch
    2.  

  8.  
  9. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminals G and H and the B+ circuit terminal E with the RR Switch in the INACTIVE position.
    1. If less than infinite resistance, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  10.  
  11. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal G and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the UP position.
    1. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  12.  
  13. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal H and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the DOWN position.
    1. If greater than 2 replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  14.  
  15. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminals B and C and the B+ circuit terminal E with the passenger switch in the INACTIVE position.
    1. If less than infinite resistance, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  16.  
  17. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal B and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the UP position.
    1. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  18.  
  19. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal C and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the DOWN position.
  20.  
  21. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.
  22.  
  23. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminals E and A and the B+ circuit terminal E with the driver switch in the INACTIVE position.
    1. If less than infinite resistance, replace the driver window switch.
    2.

  25. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal E and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the UP position.
    1. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.
    2.  

  26.  
  27. Test for less than 2 ohms of resistance between the signal terminal A and the B+ circuit terminal E with the switch in the DOWN position.

  29. If greater than 2 ohms, replace the driver window switch.

Removal & Installation
Window Motor & Regulator

  1. Position window approximately half way down in the door.
  2.  
  3. Remove the interior trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the water deflector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the (1) window to regulator bolts.
  8.  
  9. Push the window to the full up position and tape in place.
  10.  
  11. Remove the (2) window to regulator bolts.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect window regulator electrical connector.
  14.  
  15. Remove window regulator assembly.
  16.  

To install:

  1. Install window regulator assembly.
  2.  
  3. Reconnect window regulator electrical connector.
  4.  
  5. Install the (2) window to regulator bolts.
  6.  
  7. Install the (1) window to regulator bolts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the tape from the window.
  10.  
  11. Install the water deflector.
  12.  
  13. Install the interior trim panel.
  14.  
  15. Check window operation.
  16.  

Window Switch
  1. Remove drivers side window control switch bezel cover.
    NOTE
    Use a flat blade plastic trim tool to release bezel from the door trim.

  3. Remove the window control switch bezel assembly screws.
  4.  
  5. Remove drivers side window control switch bezel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect electrical connector.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Reconnect electrical connector.
  2.  
  3. Install drivers side window control switch bezel assembly.
  4.  
  5. Install the window control switch bezel assembly screws and tighten to 70 inch. lbs. (8 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install drivers side window control switch bezel cover.
  8.
