Special Tool J-34946 Window Roll Pin Remover is required to perform this procedure.

  1. Remove the latch to window screws.
  2.  
  3. While an assistant holds the glass in place, remove the hinge to glass screws, retainers, bushings and nuts.
  4.  
  5. Remove the glass from the door.
  6.  
  7. Remove the window roll pin using tool J-34964.
  8.  
  9. Remove the window latch.
  10.  
  11. Remove the latch retainer screws.
  12.  
  13. Remove the bearing, bushings and nut.
  14.  

To install:
  1. Install the bearing, bushings and nut.
  2.  
  3. Install the latch retainer screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the window latch.
  6.  
  7. Install the window roll pin using tool J-34964.
  8.  
  9. Install the glass to the door.
  10.  
  11. While an assistant holds the glass in place, install the hinge to glass screws, retainers, bushings and nuts.
  12.  
  13. Install the latch to window screws.
  14.

Special tool J-28628, Adhesive Push/Pull Knife, or equivalent, is required to perform this procedure.

  1. Remove the door garnish molding.
  2.  
  3. Remove the window molding.
  4.  
  5. Remove the window retainers.
  6.  
  7. Remove the window assembly from the vehicle using tool J-28628. Cut through the urethane adhesive from the inside of the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. Remove all the urethane from the pinchweld.
  10.  

To install:
  1. Clean the pinchweld flange and the new window assembly with solvent and allow it to air dry.
  2.  
  3. Apply urethane adhesive primer to the pinchweld flange and the window assembly molding in the area shown in the figure. Allow the primer to dry at least 30 minutes before applying the adhesive.
  4.  
  5. Apply a triangular bead of urethane adhesive 10mm high into the trough of the window assembly molding.
  6.  
  7. Install the window assembly in the pinchweld flange.
  8.  
  9. Install the window assembly retainers.
  10.  
  11. Apply a light mist of water to the window to check for leaks and to enhance the cure of the urethane.
  12.  
  13. Install the window molding.
  14.  
  15. Install the door garnish molding.
  16.  
  17. Allow the urethane adhesive 6 hours to cure before moving the vehicle.
