When the connecting rod bearings are constantly making noise, check for the following, as necessary:

  1. Misaligned connecting rod or cap.
  2.  
  3. Missing bearing shell or excessive bearing clearance.

  5. Incorrectly torqued connecting rod bolts.

  7. Connecting rod journal of the crankshaft is out-of-round.
