Windshield Washer Pump

See Figure 1

The windshield washer pump fluid reservoir is a plastic container usually found on the side of the engine compartment, near the wiper motor. The reservoir should be filled to the top of the container using a wiper fluid solution which can be found at most automotive stores. Do not further dilute the solution (unless it is sold in concentrate, then follow the manufacturer's instructions), as this will adversely affect its ability to keep from freezing at low temperatures. Also, never place another fluid, such as ethylene glycol antifreeze in the reservoir as other fluids could damage pump seals.
