Most vehicles covered by this guide are equipped with front and rear bench seats. Removal of the bench seat assembly is a relatively simple process. Locate and remove the retainers (usually nuts), then carefully lift the seat from the brackets.

Some vehicles (such as the Typhoon and some other later model trucks) may be equipped with manual or power front bucket seats. Removal of a bucket seat is also a relatively simple process, once you find the retainers. On some vehicles, you will have to remove the lower trim panels which are used to hide the brackets. Also, power seats will have one or more electrical wiring connectors which must be disengaged before attempting to remove the seat. Once the fasteners are removed and any wiring has been disconnected, lift the bucket seat from the brackets.
