Front Marker Lights

See Figures 5, 6, 7 and 8

On most vehicles covered by this information, the front marker lights are mounted in a lens attached to the headlight bezel (pre-1990) or the one-piece headlight bezel/grille assembly (1990 and later vehicles). Replacement usually requires removal of the bezel or bezel/grille assembly for access to the bulb twist-socket.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  6.
  7. At the rear of the bezel mounted lens, turn the marker bulb socket 1 / 4 turn and remove it from the headlight bezel.
  8.
  9. Remove the bulb from the turn signal/marker bulb socket; if necessary, replace the bulb.

Rear Turn Signal, Brake, Parking and Reverse Lights

See Figures 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15

Most vehicles covered by this information use two tail light assemblies (one on either side) to house the rear turn signal, brake, parking and reverse lights. To replace any of the bulbs housed in the rear tail light assemblies, the lens must be removed for access.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.
  3. Remove the rear lamp assembly-to-vehicle screws, then carefully pull the lamp housing away from the vehicle for access to the bulb twist-sockets. On most vehicles, lamp screws can be found on the outer edge of the lamp and behind the tailgate. Make sure all screws are removed and DO NOT force the lens.
