The model 207 (early vehicles) and 231 (late vehicles) transfer cases are equipped with an identification tag which is attached to the rear half of the case; the tag gives the model number, the low range reduction ratio and the assembly part number. If for some reason it becomes dislodged or removed, reattach it with an adhesive sealant. Late model vehicles may be equipped with an electronic shift transfer case, the 233 model. The Bravada and the Typhoon are equipped with the Borg Warner 4472 transfer case, which has an identification tag that is attached to one of the self tapping case bolts. The tag provides the Borg Warner part number, the General Motors part number, the serial number and the build date. If the tag becomes dislodged or removed, reattach it to the unit.
