REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the heater and A/C control panel.
  4.  
  5. Lower the glove compartment to gain access to the control cable turnbuckle.
  6.  
  7. Remove the right sound insulator.
  8.  
  9. If necessary, unsnap the retainers from the ashtray and instrument panel brace.
  10.  
  11. Remove the push-on retainer, then disconnect temperature control cable from the heater and A/C control module.
  12.

To install:
  1. Install the control cable and the push-on retainer.
  2.  
  3. Snap the cable into the connect brace.
  4.  
  5. Adjust the cable.
  6.  
  7. Install the sound insulator and glove compartment.
  8.  

ADJUSTMENT



See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the right sound insulator.
  4.  
  5. Lower the glove compartment to gain access to the control cable turnbuckle.
  6.  
  7. Move the control to full cold position. Adjust the turnbuckle until the temperature valve just comes to a stop on the left.
  8.  
  9. Move the control to full hot and check that valve is held against the right side. If not, re-adjust the turnbuckle until the valve just stops against the right side.
  10.  
  11. Always recheck full cold to make sure the valve is tight against the stop on the left.
  12.  
  13. Install the sound insulator and glove compartment.
  14.
