Wheel Speed Sensors

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front

See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the sensor connector from the wiring harness.
  4.  
  5. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the sensor mounting screw, then remove the sensor.
  8.

To install:
  1. Install the sensor and secure with the sensor mounting screw.
  2.  
  3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Attach the sensor connector to the wiring harness.
  6.  
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
  8.  

Rear

See Figure 2

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the sensor connector, which is located in the trunk.
  4.  
  5. Raise and safely support the vehicle. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  6.  
  7. Unfasten the grommet retaining screws.
  8.  
  9. Remove the sensor mounting bolts, then remove the sensor.
  10.

To install:
  1. Install the sensor and secure with the sensor mounting bolts.
  2.  
  3. Install the grommet retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly, then carefully lower the vehicle.
  6.  
  7. Attach the sensor connector, located in the trunk.
  8.  
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10.
