REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Examine the shock absorbers following the Testing procedure given for front shocks in this information.All Models
- Raise the rear end of the vehicle and support it with jackstands. Support the rear axle with the hydraulic jack to prevent stretching the brake hose.
- Remove the nut from the lower end stud of the shock. Tap the shock free from the bracket.
- Disconnect the shock at the top by removing the bolts, nuts and the lockwashers. Remove the shock from the vehicle.
- Install the shock and torque the upper bolts to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm) and the lower nut to 48 ft. lbs. (65 Nm).
