The turn signal/warning lamp flasher is located in the convenience center behind the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber directly below the steering column.

  1. Remove the self-locking screws from the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
  2.  
  3. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber upward to release it from the tabs.
  4.  
  5. Remove the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber.
  6.  
  7. Remove the turn signal/warning lamp flasher from the convenience center. Refer to the label for the flasher identification.
  8.  

To install:

  1. Install the turn signal/warning lamp flasher to the convenience center.
  2.  
  3. Slide the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber downward to secure it to the tabs.
  4.  
  5. Install the self-locking screws to the I/P driver knee bolster energy absorber and tighten the screws until fully seated.
  6.  

Deville, Eldorado, Fleetwood, and Seville

NOTE
All vehicles except 1990-91 Eldorado and Seville are equipped with separate turn signal and hazard flashers, which are located under the instrument panel in the steering column area. 1990-91 Eldorado and Seville are equipped with a turn signal/hazard module located behind the center of the instrument panel.

  1. Remove the necessary sound insulator panel(s) from under the instrument panel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the flasher from the retaining clip and disconnect the wiring connector.
  4.  

To install:

  1. Connect the wiring connector to the new flasher and install the flasher in the retaining clip.
  2.  
  3. Install the sound insulator panel(s).
  4.
