    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



    Catera
    1. Remove the radio.
    2.  
    3. Remove the heating and A/C control screws and electrical connections.
    4.  
    5. Remove the A/C control.
    6.

    NOTE
    If servicing the H-A/C control indicator bulbs. H-A/C control brackets, and/or Printed Circuit Board (PCB), continue with the following procedures as applicable.

    1. Remove the H-A/C control from the bracket.
      1. Depress the tabs on the side of the control face to release it from the bracket, then slide it out of the bracket.

    1. Remove the indicator bulbs from the control unit by turning them counter clockwise with a flat-bladed tool, if necessary.

    3. Remove the Printed Circuit Board and ribbon from the control.

    To install:

    1. Installation is the reversal of the removal procedure.
    2.  

    Deville and Fleetwood
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2.  
    3. Remove the right and left sound insulators and snap out the upper steering column filler panel.
    4.  
    5. Remove the lower steering column filler panel.
    6.  
    7. Remove the screws from the tops of the trim plates and remove the left and right trim plates.
    8.  
    9. Remove the screws at the bottom of the center trim plate and remove the trim plate.
    10.  
    11. Remove the screws and pull out the climate control panel. Disconnect the wiring connectors and remove the panel.

    To install:

    1. Connect the wiring connectors and position the climate control panel in the dash. Install the retaining screws.
    2.  
    3. Install the trim plates with the retaining screws.
    4.  
    5. Install the steering column filler panel(s) and the left and right sound insulators, if removed.
    6.  
    7. Connect the negative battery cable.
    8.

    Eldorado and Seville
    Early models
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2.  
    3. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate.
    4.  
    5. Remove the control panel retaining screws and pull out the control panel.
    6.  
    7. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the control panel.

    1. Connect the wiring connectors and position the control panel in the dash. Install the retaining screws.

    3. Install the center trim plate and secure with the screws.
    4.  
    5. Connect the negative battery cable.
    6.  

    The climate control panel is contained within the instrument cluster on 1992-93 Eldorado and Seville.

    late models
    1. Remove the instrument panel center trim plate.
    2.  
    3. Remove the console trim plate.
    4.  
    5. Remove the control assembly and the radio.
    6.  
    7. Remove the control assembly bracket fasteners.
    8.  
    9. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the control assembly and radio.
    10.  
    11. Remove the control assembly retaining nuts.
    12.  
    13. Remove the control assembly from the bracket.
    14.  

    To install:

    1. Installation is the reversal of the removal procedure.
