REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1967-69 Models
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the hoses and wiring from the fender skirt.
  4.  
  5. Remove the wheel opening trim.
  6.  
  7. Remove the rocker panel molding.
  8.  
  9. Loosen the rear lower fender-to-body bolt.
  10.  
  11. Remove the nine rearmost fender skirt attaching screws.
  12.  
  13. Pull the lower rear edge of the fender out. Pull the skirt down. Place a block of wood between the fender and the skirt.
  14.  
  15. Remove the blower-to-case attaching screws. Remove the blower assembly.
  16.  
  17. Remove the blower wheel retaining nut. Separate the blower and motor.
  18.  
  19. Reverse the procedure to install. The open end of the blower should be away from the motor.
  20.  

1970-77 Models

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the hoses and wiring from the fender skirt.
  4.  
  5. Remove all the fender skirt attaching bolts except those attaching the skirt to the radiator support.
  6.  
  7. Pull out, then down, on the skirt. Place a block between the skirt and fender.
  8.  
  9. Remove the blower-to-case attaching screws. Remove the blower assembly.
  10.  
  11. Remove the blower wheel retaining nut and separate the motor and wheel.
  12.  
  13. Reverse the procedure to install. The open end of the blower should be away from the motor. Use new sealer on the blower case flange.

1978-81 Models

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Tag and disconnect any electrical connections at the motor.
  4.  
  5. Remove the heater front module screws and nuts.
  6.  
  7. Lift off the front module and the motor.
  8.  
  9. Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Replace all sealer.
