REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figures 1, 2 and 3

Place protective tape over the front fender and door edges to prevent damage to the paint during fender removal and installation.

  1. Remove the front fender bolts/screws.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  4.  
  5. Remove or reposition the front wheelhouse panel liner enough to access the front fender bolt/screws, as follows:
    1. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly.
    2.  
    3. Remove the bolts/screws from the wheelhouse panel liner and lower deflector.
    4.  
    5. Remove the bolts/screws from the wheelhouse panel liner.
    6.  
    7. Remove the remaining retainers, then remove the wheelhouse panel liner from the vehicle.

  1. Remove the two front fender retaining bolts/screws.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front fender from the vehicle.

  1. If bracket removal is necessary, proceed as follows:
    1. Remove the outer bracket bolts/screws and the fascia outer bracket.
    2.  
    3. Remove the rear upper bracket bolts/screws, then remove the rear upper bracket.
    4.  
    5. Remove the rear center bracket retaining bolts/screws, then remove the rear upper bracket.

To install:
  1. If any or all of the brackets were removed, install them as necessary. Tighten the retaining bolts/screws to 49 inch lbs. (5.5 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Positon the front fender assembly and secure with the two retaining bolts/screws. Tighten to 49 inch lbs. (5.5 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Install the front wheelhouse panel liner, as follows:
    1. Position the liner and secure with the retainers.
    2.  
    3. Install the bolts/screws to the wheelhouse panel liner and tighten to 12 inch lbs. (1.3 Nm).
    4.  
    5. Install the bolts/screws to the wheelhouse panel liner and lower deflector and tighten to 49 inch lbs. (5.5 Nm).
    6.  
    7. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
    8.

  7. Carefully lower the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. Install the remaining front fender retaining bolts/screws and tighten to 49 inch lbs. (5.5 Nm).
