GM Camaro/Firebird 1993-1998 Repair Guide

Proper equipment and towing methods must be used to tow your Firebird, so that personal injury or property damage can be avoided. When the vehicle is towed, the steering must be unlocked, the transmission in neutral, and the parking brake released. Do not tow your Firebird on all four wheels.

Firebirds with an automatic transmission may be towed on the drive wheels at speeds up to 35 mph (56km/h) for distances not exceeding 50 miles (80km). Severe damage to the automatic transmission may result if the speed or distance limits are exceeded.
