REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the blower motor wiring harness.
  4.  
  5. Remove the blower motor cooling tube.
  6.  
  7. Remove the blower motor retaining screws and lift the blower motor and fan straight up and out of the upper case of the air conditioning module.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Clean and replace sealer as necessary.
  2.  
  3. Lower blower motor into upper case of the air conditioning module and tighten motor retaining screws.
  4.  
  5. Connect the blower motor cooling tube.
  6.  
  7. Connect blower motor wiring harness.
  8.  
  9. Connect the negative battery cable and check for proper motor operation.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the 4 retaining screws and remove the right side instrument panel sound insulator.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the blower motor electrical connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the right side hinge pillar trim finish panel by pulling it away from the front body hinge pillar.
  8.  
  9. Remove the screw from the secondary ECM bracket and swing the ECM module and bracket aside to provide access to the blower motor.
  10.  
  11. Remove the blower mounting screws, leaving the screw closest to the relay for last. Carefully lower the blower motor fan assembly and remove.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Align the blower motor and fan assembly, making sure the ECM module and retainer are out of the way, and carefully raise the assembly into place.
  2.  
  3. Insert and tighten the 3 mounting screws.
  4.  
  5. Swing the ECM module and bracket back into place and tighten the retaining screw to 17 inch lbs. (1.9 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Snap the right side hinge pillar trim finish panel into place on the front body hinge pillar.
  8.  
  9. Connect the blower motor electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Insert the right side instrument panel sound insulator and attach the 4 retaining screws. Tighten the sound insulator retaining screws to 17 inch lbs. (1.9 Nm).
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable and check motor operation.
  14.
