Cruise Control Module

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Accelerator Bracket Mounted

See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. The cruise control module is located on a bracket mounted above the accelerator pedal. Disconnect the wiring harness from the module.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bracket and module assembly from the accelerator bracket.
  6.  
  7. Release the lock tab and remove the module.
  8.

To install:
  1. Fit the module to its bracket and secure the lock tab.
  2.  
  3. Install the module assembly to the accelerator bracket.
  4.  
  5. Connect the module wiring harness.
  6.  
  7. Connect the negative battery cable, then reset the radio, clock, etc. as necessary.
  8.  

Under Dash Mounted

See Figure 2

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the left side sound insulator.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electrical harness from the module.
  6.  
  7. Remove the push-in retainers, then pull the module out of its mounting area.
  8.

To install:
  1. Mount the module with the push-in retainers.
  2.  
  3. Connect the electrical harness on the module.
  4.  
  5. Install the left sound insulator.
  6.  
  7. Connect the negative battery cable, then reset the radio, clock, etc. as necessary.
  8.  

Wheelhousing Mounted

See Figure 3

  1. Open the hood, then disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting bolts securing the module on the left wheelhousing.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the wiring harness, then remove the module.
  6.

To install:
  1. Attach the wiring harness to the module.
  2.  
  3. Mount the module in place using the mounting bolts, tighten the bolts to 36 inch lbs. (4 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the negative battery cable, then reset the radio, clock, etc. as necessary.
  6.
