Signal and Marker Lights

CAUTION
Take care not to squeeze the bulbs too tightly, they can break in you hand and causes injury. If the bulbs are stuck, spray them with penetrating oil and allow them to soak for a few minutes. There are also tools on the market for gripping and removing bulbs.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Turn Signal and Parking Lights

See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5

  1. On some models you will need to remove the headlight bezel mounting screws and the bezel.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting screws for the lamp assembly.
  4.

  1. After the screws are removed, pull the assembly from the vehicle.

  1. Disconnect the twist lock socket from the lens housing.
  2.

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket (at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise1/4turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

To install:
  1. Install the electrical harness to the back of the unit.
  2.  
  3. Position the signal assembly, then attach to the vehicle with the mounting screws. Tighten the screws to 54 inch lbs. (6 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Insert the socket to the back of the unit, then attach the headlamp bezel if removed.
  6.  

Side Marker Lights

See Figure 6

  1. Remove the marker light housing screws and the housing.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the twist lock socket from the lens housing.
  4.  

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket (at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise1/4turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

To install:
  1. Connect the socket to the back of the lamp assembly.
  2.  
  3. Position the lamp housing to the vehicle, then attach with the mounting screws.
  4.

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

See Figures 7, 8 and 9

  1. Remove the tail light assembly screws, then the assembly.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the twist lock socket from the lens housing.
  4.  

To remove the bulb, turn the twist lock socket (at the rear of the housing) counterclockwise1/4turn, then remove the socket with the bulb; replace the bulb if defective.

To install:
  1. Attach the socket assemblies to the back of the lamp unit.
  2.  
  3. Install the lamp assembly to the vehicle with the mounting screws.
  4.  

License Plate Light
  1. Remove the lens screws.
  2.  
  3. Once the lens is removed you, can access the bulb and replace if needed.
  4.  

To install:
  1. Install the new bulb, then attach the lens to the body of the vehicle.
  2.  

Center High Mount Stop Lamp

See Figure 10, 11, 12 and 13

  1. Remove the screws securing the lamp cover.
  2.  
  3. Remove the mounting nuts, then unplug the electrical harness to the lamp assembly.
  4.  
  5. The lamp now should come out.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Position the lamp assembly to the vehicle, then attach the electrical harness to the lamp.
  2.  
  3. Install the mounting nut, tighten to 62 inch lbs. (7 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Attach the lamp cover.
  6.
