GM Century/Lumina/Grand Prix/Intrigue 1997-2000

Fog/Driving Lamps

The fog lamps are operated by a separate instrument panel mounted switch. The fog lamps will go off whenever the high-beam headlamps are turned on and when you return to low beam headlamps, the fog lamps will come on again. Most installation have provision for vertical (not horizontal) aim by an adjusting nut located on the rear of the fog lamp.

GM states "Don't add anything electrical to your (vehicle) unless you check with your dealer first. Some electrical equipment can damage your vehicle and the damage won't be covered by your warranty. Some add-on electrical equipment can keep other components from working as they should."

Because of the extensive computer control of your W-Body vehicle, just "tapping in" to an electrical circuit could produce unforeseen problems, not the least of which is corrosion from where the wiring insulation has been compromised. Always consult with your dealer before adding any aftermarket equipment on your vehicle.
