REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Coupe
  1. Remove the door panel. For more information, refer to the procedure earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. Remove the armrest, the trim panel(s), the insulator pad (if equipped), and the inner panel water deflector.
  4.  
  5. With the glass in the half raised position, mark the location of the mounting screws, then remove the following components:
    1. The front belt stabilizer and trim retainer.
    2.  
    3. The rear belt stabilizer pin assembly.
    4.  
    5. The front up-travel stop (on the inner panel).
    6.  
    7. The rear up-travel stop (on the inner panel).
    8.

  7. Remove the vertical guide upper and lower screws, then disengage the guide assembly from the roller and lay in the bottom of the door.
  8.  
  9. Position the glass to expose the lower sash channel cam nuts, then remove the nuts through the inner panel access hole.
  10.  
  11. While supporting the glass, separate it from the lower sash channel cam.
  12.  
  13. To remove the glass, perform the following procedures:
    1. Raise the glass slowly and slide it rearward.
    2.  
    3. Tilt the top of the glass inboard until the front up-stop roller clears the front loading hole at the inner panel bolt reinforcement.
    4.  
    5. Rotate the glass rearward 45 degrees, then raise it slowly to clear the glass attaching screws through the belt loading holes.

To install:
  1. Carefully lower the glass into position and connect it to the lower sash channel cam.
  2.  
  3. Install the sash channel cam nuts and tighten to 90-125 inch lbs. (10-14 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Engage the guide assembly to the roller, then install the vertical guide upper and lower screws.
  6.  
  7. Install the travel stops on the inner panel, then install the rear belt stabilizer pin and/or the front belt stabilizer and trim retainer.
  8.  
  9. Check and adjust the glass installation, as necessary.
  10.  
  11. Install the inner panel water deflector, insulator pad (if equipped), the trim panel(s) and the armrest.
  12.  
  13. Install the door panel.
  14.

Sedan
  1. Remove the door panel. For more information, refer to the procedure earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. To disengage the rear roller, lower the glass to 3 / 4 of the way down, tip the nose of the glass down and slide it backward.
  4.  
  5. To disengage the front roller, raise the nose of the glass 45 degrees and slide it rearward.
  6.  
  7. Lift the outboard of the upper frame to remove the glass. Adjust the regulator position to remove the glass.
  8.  
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedures. Adjust the position of the glass. Torque the fasteners to 90-125 inch lbs. (10-14 Nm)

ADJUSTMENT



Coupe
  1. Remove the door panel. For more information, refer to the procedure earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. To rotate the window, loosen the front and rear up-stops, adjust the inner panel cam and the up-stops, then tighten the screws.
  4.  
  5. To adjust the window's upper inboard and outboard edge, perform the following procedures:
    1. Position the window in the partially down position.
    2.  
    3. Loosen the vertical guide upper support (lower) screws, which are accessible through the inner panel access holes.
    4.  
    5. Loosen the pin assembly screws, the rear up-stop screw and the front belt stabilizer screw.
    6.  
    7. Adjust the vertical guide upper support and pin assembly (in or out as required, then tighten the screws, adjust and tighten the other components.

When adjusting glass, make sure that it remains inboard of the blow-out clip, when cycled.

  1. If the window is too far forward or rearward, position the window partially down, loosen the vertical guide (upper and lower) screws, then adjust as required.
  2.  
  3. If the window is too high or low in it's Up position, adjust the front and rear up-travel stops.
  4.  
  5. If the window is too high or low in the Down position, adjust the down-travel stop.
  6.  
  7. If the window binds during the up and down operation, adjust the front and/or rear belt stabilizer pin assemblies.

Sedan
  1. Remove the door panel. For more information, refer to the procedure earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. If the window is rotated, loosen the inner panel cam adjusting screws, position the glass and tighten the screws.
  4.  
  5. If the window is too high or low in the down position, loosen the down-travel stop screws, position the glass, position the down stop and tighten the screws.
