License Plate Light

See Figures 12 and 13

Although, some earlier vehicles may not have a housing covering the license plate bulb, most of the vehicles covered by this guide utilize a bulb which is covered by a housing. The housing is mounted adjacent to the license plate using 1 or more retaining screws. If necessary for access to the bulb, loosen the retaining screw(s) and remove the housing, then twist and withdraw the socket. Remove the bulb from the socket and replace using a new part.

Dome Light

Most dome lamps are covered by a lens cap which is snapped into position. The lens cap may be removed by grasping, gently squeezing and pulling downward. For some earlier models, there may be a fastener holding the cap in place. If so, remove the fastener before attempting to free the lens cap. Once the cap is removed, the bulb may be withdrawn and replaced.
