REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Full-size and mini consoles are available depending on the model and options. The full-size includes a storage compartment at the rear. The mini console has a small compartment located at the front.

Full-Size Console

See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9

  1. On the Beretta, remove the ashtray.
  2.  
  3. Remove the front compartment on the Corsica.
  4.  
  5. Remove the parking brake handle by removing the Phillips retaining screws.
  6.  
  7. Remove the shift lever handle/knob by removing the Torx® retaining screw or clip.
  8.

  1. Remove the console trim plate by removing the 2 screws at the front of the trim plate and then lifting and pulling forward to release from the retainers at the rear. On manual transaxles, remove the 4 boot retainer screws.

  1. Open the rear compartment of the console and remove the liner. Remove the trunk release switch by pulling out carefully and disconnecting the electrical connector. Remove the 2 bolts from the bottom of the compartment.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts from the center, in the upper rear of the area covered by the trim plate.
  2.  
  3. Remove the 2 bolts at the front of the console.

  1. Lift the console, then lift from underneath and push the power window switch out of the console.
  2.  
  3. Detach the electrical connector at the power window switch, then push the switch back into the console.
  4.  
  5. Remove the console.
  6.

To install:
  1. Install the console in the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Attach the electrical connector at the power window switch, then place the console into position.
  4.  
  5. Install the 2 bolts at the front.
  6.  
  7. Install the 2 bolts at the center.
  8.  
  9. Install the 2 bolts in the rear compartment.
  10.  
  11. Install the trunk release connector and switch.
  12.  
  13. Install the liner into the rear compartment.
  14.  
  15. Install the power window switch connector.
  16.  
  17. Install the console trim plate.
  18.  
  19. Install the shift handle/knob.
  20.  
  21. Install the parking brake handle.
  22.  
  23. Install the ashtray or front compartment ashtray.
  24.  

Mini Console

See Figure 10

  1. Remove the liner from the front compartment.
  2.  
  3. Remove the 2 screws from the front compartment.
  4.  
  5. Remove the Torx screw holding the shift handle/knob.
  6.  
  7. Remove 1 screw from each side of the rear of the console.
  8.  
  9. Remove the console.
  10.  
  11. On manual transaxles, remove the 4 boot retainer screws from inside the console.
  12.

To install:
  1. Install the shifter boot or trim plate.
  2.  
  3. Install the console and 2 screws at the rear.
  4.  
  5. Install the Torx screw holding the shift handle/knob.
  6.  
  7. Install the 2 screws to the front compartment.
  8.  
  9. Install the liner.
  10.
