Rear Compartment Lid and Lift Window Lock

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figures 1, 2 and 3

  1. On the Corsica sedan, remove the rivets using a 1 / 4 in. (6mm) drill bit.
  2.  
  3. Remove the retaining screws on the Corsica hatchback and Beretta. On the Beretta the screws are located on the body end panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the screws holding the release solenoid to the lock and remove the lock.
  6.

To install:
  1. Position the lock and install the screws on the Corsica sedan and Beretta and the nuts on the Corsica hatchback. Tighten the screws to 53 inch lbs. (6 Nm). and the nuts to 124 inch lbs. (14 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Install the screws holding the release solenoid to the lock and tighten to 53 inch lbs. (6 Nm).
