Fuel Pump

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

The electric fuel pump is located in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel gauge sending unit, and may be serviced separately.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the fuel filler door.
  4.

  1. Remove the fuel cap.
  2.  
  3. Remove the fuel tank filler neck housing, then disconnect the drain hose.
  4.

  1. Unfasten the screws attaching the fuel meter/fuel pump to the tank..
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the fuel lines, fuel vapor line and electrical connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the fuel meter/fuel pump and gasket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the fuel pump.
  8.

  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
