REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Refer to and disarm the airbag system.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lower trim plate.
  4.  
  5. Remove the speaker grilles.
  6.  
  7. Pull the defroster duct screen upwards, and disconnect the sun load sensor and lights sensor.
  8.  
  9. Remove the sound insulators.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect the parking brake release cable.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the wiring harnesses between the radio and steering column.
  14.  
  15. Disconnect the shift indicator cable if on steering column, remove the mounting bolts, and lower the steering column. Allow it to rest on the driver's seat.
  16.  
  17. Remove the aldl mount screws and allow to hang.
  18.  
  19. Release the clips on the fuse panel and pull forward and down.
  20.  
  21. Remove the 2 bolts on the lower rail.
  22.  
  23. Remove the screws from inside the defroster duct.
  24.  
  25. Remove the screws above each speaker.
  26.  
  27. Remove the 2 bolts from brace above steering column.
  28.  
  29. Remove the nut from the instrument panel brace.
  30.  
  31. If equipped with Electronic Climate Control, remove the air sensor duct.
  32.  
  33. Protect the painted surface of the steering column with covering.
  34.  
  35. Lift upward on the instrument panel, pull rearward, and disconnect the side window defog hoses.
  36.  
  37. Disconnect the radio antenna.
  38.  
  39. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel pad assembly from the interior of the car.
  40.  

To install:

  1. With the aid of your assistant, position the instrument panel pad assembly.
  2.  
  3. Connect the radio antenna.
  4.  
  5. Connect the side window defog hoses.
  6.  
  7. Install the nut to the instrument panel brace.
  8.  
  9. Install the 2 bolts from brace above steering column.
  10.  
  11. If equipped with Electronic Climate Control, install the air sensor duct.
