Disconnect the negative battery cable.
To service cooling hoses or pipes, remove the involved clamps. It is easiest to simply cut the hose from the pipe, as long as it it isn't being reused. Plug opening to prevent leakage. Remove the pipes from the radiator or case as required.
To remove the auxiliary oil cooler, disconnect the hoses and remove.
When installing these items, use new hose designed specifically for transmission cooling as well as new hose clamps. Reusing these parts will inevitably cause leaks. Be sure to route everything the same way prior to repairs.
