REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  4.  
  5. Remove the air inlet hose from the compressor section of the turbocharger.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the compressor outlet pipe from the compressor.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the oil breather and turbocharger heat shields.
  10.  
  11. Remove the exhaust pipe from the turbine outlet.
  12.  
  13. Remove the oil breather vent from the valve cover. Disconnect and plug the oil pressure feed line at the turbocharger assembly.
  14.  
  15. Remove the turbocharger mounting bracket nuts. Disconnect the turbine inlet pipe from the exhaust manifold.
  16.  
  17. Disconnect the oil return line from turbocharger.
  18.  
  19. Remove the vacuum line from the turbocharger wastegate actuator.
  20.  
  21. Disconnect the intercooler outlet to throttle body pipe.
  22.  
  23. Remove the turbocharger assembly from the manifold adapter.
  24.  

To install:
  1. Install the turbocharger assembly to the manifold adapter. Torque the assembly to 20 ft lbs. (27 Nm)
  2.  
  3. Connect the intercooler outlet to throttle body pipe.
  4.  
  5. Install the vacuum line to the turbocharger wastegate actuator.
  6.  
  7. Install the turbocharger mounting bracket nuts. Connect the turbine inlet pipe to the exhaust manifold.
  8.  
  9. Connect the oil return line to turbocharger.
  10.  
  11. Install the oil breather vent to the valve cover. Connect the oil pressure feed line at the turbocharger assembly.
  12.  
  13. Install the exhaust pipe to the turbine outlet.
  14.  
  15. Connect the oil breather and turbocharger heat shields.
  16.  
  17. Connect the compressor outlet pipe to the compressor.
  18.  
  19. Change the engine oil and filter. Be sure to prime the filter with oil before installing it.
  20.  
  21. Connect the negative battery cable and start the engine to check operation.
