REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



See Figures 1 and 2

1985-1990 Models
  1. Remove the six screws holding the filler panel and remove the filler panel.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4.  
  5. Remove the two bolts holding the lamp assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the assembly by lowering it through the filler panel opening.
  8.  
  9. Remove the two screws attaching the lens.
  10.  
  11. Remove the bulb.
  12.  
  13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  14.

1991-1992 Models
  1. Remove the two screws attaching the lamp assembly to the front impact bar.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lamp assembly from the impact bar.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6.  
  7. Remove the two lens attaching screws.
  8.  
  9. Remove the bulb.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.

AIMING

Check with your local authorities before performing this procedure. Most areas have standards for proper adjustment. We recommend, for safety, that the adjustment always be checked by a reputable shop.

  1. Prepare the vehicle as follows:
    1. Make sure all components are in place.
    2.  
    3. Make sure the vehicle has a 1 / 2 tank of fuel or less.
    4.  
    5. Move the vehicle to a level area and park 25 feet (7.6 m) away from a target screen.
    6.

  3. With the fog lamps on, measure from the center of the fog lamp assembly to the ground line.
  4.  
  5. Top edge of the high intensity zone should be 4 inches (102 mm) below the centerline of the fog lamp assembly.
  6.  
  7. Adjust if necessary.
  8.
