REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Parking and Turn Signal

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

1982-1990 MODELS
  1. Open the hood.
  2.  
  3. Remove the socket from the lens assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bulb from the lens.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  8.

1991-1992 MODELS
  1. Remove the two screws attaching the lamp assembly to the front impact bar.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lamp assembly from the impact bar.
  4.  
  5. Remove the socket from the lamp assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  10.

Front Marker Lights

See Figures 4, 5 and 6

  1. Remove the six screws from the filler panel under the front fascia.
  2.  
  3. Remove the filler panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the socket from the lamp assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  8.  
  9. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  10.

Rear Marker Lights

  1. Open the hatch.
  2.  
  3. Remove the fasteners from the rear trim panel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the trim panel.
  6.  
  7. Remove the socket from the lens assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.

Rear Turn Signal, Brake and Parking Lights

See Figures 8, 9, 10 and 11

  1. Remove the rear compartment trim assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the plastic wing nuts from the tail lamp assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the tail lamp assembly.
  6.  
  7. Remove the socket(s) from the assembly.
  8.  
  9. Remove the bulb(s) from the socket(s).
  10.  
  11. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  12.

High Mount Brake Light

  1. Remove the screw securing the cover.
  2.  
  3. Remove the cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bulb.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

  1. Remove the screws securing the lens assembly.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from the lamp assembly.
  4.

  3. Remove the lamp assembly from the bracket.

Dome Light

See Figure 15

  1. Remove the courtesy lamp fuse.
  2.  
  3. Remove the lens by gently squeezing the edge and pulling down.
  4.  
  5. Remove the bulb.
  6.  
  7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  8.

Passenger Area Lamps

The passenger area courtesy lamps can be replaced by first removing the appropriate trim panel, then removing the bulb from the socket. Most panels are fastened by screws or snap-fasteners. Be careful not to force the trim panel off, as you may damage it. Do not pry with tools which may damage the panel, use tools designed for panel removal only.

License Plate Lights

See Figure 16

  1. Remove the screws securing the lamp assembly to the bumper.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bulb from the socket.
  4.  
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  6.
