Drain the cooling system.
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.
Disconnect the radiator upper and lower hoses and, if applicable, the transmission coolant lines. Remove the coolant recovery system line, if so equipped.
Remove the radiator upper panel if so equipped.
If there is a radiator shroud in front of the radiator, the radiator and shroud are removed as an assembly.
If there is a fan shroud, remove the shroud attaching screws and let the shroud hang on the fan.
Remove the radiator attaching bolts and remove the radiator.
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
