REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1967-70 Models
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the knobs, washers, and nuts from the radio shafts.
  4.  
  5. Detach any support brackets.
  6.  
  7. Lower the radio and detach the wiring for power, speaker, and antenna.
  8.  
  9. Remove the radio. Reverse the procedure for installation.
  10.  

1971-86 Models

See Figures 1, 2 and 3

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
  2.  
  3. Remove the engine cover.
  4.  
  5. Remove the air cleaner from the carburetor.
  6.  
  7. On models through 1977, remove the stud in the carburetor which holds the air cleaner.
  8.  
  9. Cover the carburetor with a clean rag.
  10.  
  11. Remove the knobs, washers and nuts from the front of the radio.
  12.  
  13. Remove the rear bracket screw and bracket from the radio.
  14.  
  15. Remove the radio through the engine access area. Lower the radio far enough to detach the wiring.
  16.  
  17. Remove the radio.
  18.  
  19. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  20.
