REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



1987-95 Models

See Figure 1

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. If necessary, remove the engine cover and air cleaner.
  4.  
  5. If necessary, remove the lower instrument panel extension.
  6.  
  7. Remove the radio bezel.
  8.  
  9. Remove the knobs, washers and nuts from the front of the radio.
  10.  
  11. Remove the rear bracket screw and separate the bracket from the radio.
  12.  
  13. Disengage the electrical connections.
  14.  
  15. Remove the radio.
  16.

To install:
  1. Install the radio and engage the electrical connections.
  2.  
  3. Engage the radio to the bracket and tighten the screw.
  4.  
  5. Install the washers, nuts and knobs on the front of the radio.
  6.  
  7. Install the radio bezel.
  8.  
  9. If removed, install the lower instrument panel extension.
  10.  
  11. If removed, install the air cleaner and engine cover.
  12.  
  13. Connect the negative battery cable.
  14.  

1996-97 Models

See Figure 2

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the radio bezel.
  4.  
  5. Remove the lower instrument panel extension.
  6.  
  7. Remove bracket screw.
  8.  
  9. Remove the radio nuts.
  10.  
  11. Separate the bracket from the radio.
  12.  
  13. Disengage the electrical connections and antenna.
  14.  
  15. Remove the radio.
  16.

To install:
  1. Install the radio, then engage the antenna and electrical connections.
  2.  
  3. Engage the radio to the bracket and tighten the screw.
  4.  
  5. Install the radio nuts.
  6.  
  7. If removed, install the lower instrument panel extension.
  8.  
  9. Install the radio bezel.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12.
