REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



Front Seats

  1. Move the seats to the full-forward position.
  2.  
  3. Remove the rear foot covers and carpet retainers to gain access to the rear nuts.
  4.  
  5. Remove the track covers and unfasten the nuts securing the adjuster to the floor.
  6.  
  7. Move the seat to the full-rearward position.
  8.  
  9. Remove the adjuster front foot covers and unfasten the adjuster-to-front floor pan nuts.
  10.  
  11. If equipped with power seats, tilt the seat forward and detach the electrical connectors.
  12.  
  13. Carefully remove the seat assembly from the vehicle.
  14.  

To install:
  1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Check that both seat adjusters are parallel and in phase with each other. Tighten the seat adjuster-to-floor pan nuts to 18-22 ft. lbs. (24-30 Nm). Check the operation of the seat assembly for full limit of travel.

WITHOUT SPLIT FOLDING SEATBACK
  1. Unfasten the rear seat cushion retaining bolts, then grasp the cushion and lift up and outward to remove the cushion from the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. At the bottom of the seatback, unfasten the anchor bolts securing the rear seat retainers and center seat belts.
  4.  
  5. Grasp the bottom of the seatback and pull upward, then outward to disengage the offsets of the back upper frame bar from the hangers. Lift the seatback upward to remove.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Tighten the anchor bolts to 26-35 ft. lbs. (35-48 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Tighten the seat cushion bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm).
  6.  

WITH SPLIT FOLDING SEATBACK
  1. Unfasten the seat cushion retaining bolts. Grasp the cushion, then lift up and outward to remove the cushion.
  2.  
  3. At the bottom of the seatback, unfasten the anchor bolts securing the rear seat retainers and center seat belts.
  4.  
  5. Grasp the bottom of the seatback and swing upward to disengage the offsets on the back upper frame bar from the hangers, then lift the seatback upward to remove it.
  6.  

To install:
  1. Align the seatback and engage the upper retainer with a sharp downward motion until you hear an audible snap indicating engagement.
  2.  
  3. Install the seat belt anchors on top of the seat retainer brackets. Stack the outer belt anchor plate on top of the center belt anchor plate.
  4.  
  5. Install and tighten the anchor bolts to 26-35 ft. lbs. (35-48 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Fold the seatback down to the full horizontal position. Place the closeout flaps in position, then rub your hand over the flaps to secure the hook/loop strips to the trunk trim.
  8.  
  9. Install the rear seat cushion. Tighten the retaining bolts to 17 ft. lbs. (23 Nm).
