Front Blower Motor

Print

The blower motor location can change from year-to-year. It can also change with the trim level of the vehicle. A vehicle that has front and rear climate controls may be configured differently than a vehicle that has front controls only. The following are two different repair procedures. One is for blower motors located and accessed in the engine compartment, the other is for blower motors mounted inside the vehicle.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Engine Compartment Mounted
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.
  3. Remove the engine air cleaner assembly.
  4.
  5. If necessary for clearance, remove the left hand wiper arm linkage.
  6.
  7. Detach the wire harness connector from the blower motor.
  8.
  9. Disconnect the motor cooling hose.
  10.
  11. Remove the blower motor assembly retaining screws
  12.
  13. Carefully pull the blower motor assembly out from the firewall.
  14.
