REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



Front Door
  1. Remove the inside door trim panel, as outlined earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the outside handle-to-lock assembly rod.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the lock cylinder-to-lock assembly rod.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect the inside handle-to-lock assembly rod.
  8.  
  9. Unfasten the lock assembly screws, then remove the lock from the door.
  10.

To install:
  1. Position the lock assembly to the door and install the retaining screws.
  2.  
  3. Connect the inside handle-to-lock assembly rod.
  4.  
  5. Attach the lock cylinder-to-lock assembly rod.
  6.  
  7. Connect the outside handle-to-lock assembly rod.
  8.  
  9. Install the inside door trim panel, as outlined earlier in this section..
  10.  

Sliding Door

  1. Remove the sliding door trim panel, as outlined earlier in this section.
  2.  
  3. Disconnect the control rods from the lock assembly by prying the clip anchor out of the hole and pushing the clip away from the lever.
  4.  
  5. Support the door and remove the center roller bracket to door screws.
  6.  
  7. Using a 1 / 4 in. drill bit, drill out the rod guide to door rivets. Remove the rod guide from the door.
  8.  
  9. Unfasten the lock assembly retaining screws, then remove the lock assembly.
  10.

To install:
  1. Position the lock assembly to the door and secure with the retaining screws.
  2.  
  3. Attach the guide rod to the door using 1 / 4 in. diameter bolts, 1 / 2 in. long, with a spring washer and nut.
  4.  
  5. Install the control rods to the lock assembly.
  6.  
  7. Install the center roller bracket to door screws.
  8.  
  9. Install the door trim panel, as outlined earlier in this section.
  10.
