REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION



Front Seat
  1. If removing the driver's seat, perform the following:
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2.  
    3. Detach the seat belt harness connector from the body wiring harness.
    4.  
    5. If equipped, unplug the power seat connector from the body wiring harness.
    6.  
    7. Disconnect the fuel filler door release cable.
    8.

  3. Remove the nuts attaching the seat frame to the seat anchor plate studs on the floor pan.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the seat belt assembly, then remove the seat from the vehicle.
  6.

To install:
  1. Install the seat belt assembly over the rear inboard seat stud on the right hand side of the driver's seat or on the left hand side of the passenger's seat.
  2.  
  3. Install the power seat connection, if so equipped.
  4.  
  5. If installing the driver's side seat, install the seat belt harness connector and the fuel filler door release cable.
  6.  
  7. Install the seal retaining nuts and tighten them to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm)
  8.  

Rear Bucket Seat

  1. Remove all plate hole plugs.
  2.  
  3. Pull up the seat back latch lever and fold the seat back forward onto the seat cushion.
  4.  
  5. Pull up on the rear latch release strap to release the latching bar clamping the rear of the seat assembly to the rear seat anchors.
  6.  
  7. Pivot the rear of the seat assembly upward and toward the front of the vehicle.
  8.  
  9. Pull upward on the front of the latching bar, disconnect the seat riser frame from the front seat anchors, and remove the seat from the vehicle.

To install:
  1. Place the seat locks in the open position by pulling upward on the strap, at the rear of the seat cushion.
  2.  
  3. Install the seat assembly over either the second or third row anchor plates in the floor plan.
  4.  
  5. Install the front legs of the seat through the slots in the front anchor plates and onto the seat anchors.
  6.  
  7. Close the seat locking levers to secure the seat.
  8.  
  9. Install the anchor plate hole plugs, over the open slots in the anchor plates, and snap them down securely into place.
  10.  
  11. Check that the seat is secured firmly to all 4 seat anchors.
  12.  

Rear Bench Seat

  1. Remove all plate hole plugs.
  2.  
  3. Fold the seat down onto the cushion of the seat.
  4.  
  5. Press the locking lever between the seat's rear legs to unlatch the seat assembly from the rear seat anchors.
  6.  
  7. Release the front seat legs from the seat anchors and remove the seat assembly.
  8.  

To install:
  1. Install the bench seat aligning the front of the seat over the second position in the anchor plates on the floor pan. Make sure the locks are in the open position.
  2.  
  3. Install the front legs of the seat through the slots in the front anchor.
  4.  
  5. Press the rear legs of the seat through the slots in the rear anchor plates and onto the seat anchors.
  6.  
  7. Unfold the seat back to an upright position.
  8.  
  9. Install the anchor plate hole plugs, over the open slots in the anchor plates, and snap them down securely into place.
  10.  
  11. Check that the bench seat is secured firmly to all 8 seat anchors.
