REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Fig. To remove the accessory trim plate, use a suitable prytool to carefully pry the retaining clips at the points shown . . .

Fig. . . . then gently pull the accessory trim plate away

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Remove the bezel from the ignition switch.
  4.  
  5. Remove the trim plate by carefully prying at the retaining clip points and pulling the plate away from the dash.
  6.  
  7. Remove the 2 screws securing the control panel and gently pull it out enough to unplug the electrical connectors.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hoses at the rear of the vacuum switch and remove the control panel from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Attach the electrical and vacuum connections to the rear of the control panel.
  2.  
  3. Align the screw holes while placing the control panel into the dash.
  4.  
  5. Install the control panel mounting screws and tighten to 18 inch lbs. (2 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the accessory trim plate, by pressing it into place, making sure the retaining clips are properly engaged.
  8.  
  9. Install the ignition switch bezel.
  10.  
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
