REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

NOTE
The front seat forward attachments are the hook-type. They can only be removed after the rear fasteners are removed and the seat is tilted forward.

  1. Place the seat to the full-forward position.
  2.  
  3. Remove the adjuster rear foot covers or carpet retainers.
  4.  
  5. Remove the track covers where necessary, then remove the rear attaching nuts.
  6.  
  7. Remove the front foot covers, then remove the adjuster-to-floor pan front attaching nuts.
  8.  
  9. Remove the seat assembly from the car.
  10.  
  11. To install the seat assembly reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the seat adjuster-to-floor pan attaching bolts or nuts to 30 ft. lbs. (40 Nm).

Rear
SEATBACK

Fig. Both seat backs (1 & 2) are removed from the pivot bracket (3) by sliding the seat backs toward the center of the vehicle and releasing the outboard pivot pins first

  1. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to release the locking mechanism on the right rear seat back arm at the pivot bracket.
  2.  
  3. Lift up the right rear seat back.
  4.  
  5. Disconnect the seat back from the pivot bracket.
  6.  
  7. Slide the right rear seat back towards the center of the vehicle in order to disconnect the outboard pivot pin from the wheelhouse bracket.
  8.  
  9. Remove the right rear seat back from the vehicle.
  10.  
  11. Lift up the left rear seat back.
  12.  
  13. Disconnect the seat back inboard pivot pin from the pivot bracket.
  14.  
  15. Slide the left rear seat back towards the center of the vehicle in order to disconnect the outboard pivot pin from the wheelhouse bracket.
  16.  
  17. Remove the left rear seat back from the vehicle.
  18.  
  19. Installation is the reverse of removal.
  20.  

SEAT CUSHION
  1. Press the seat cushion retainer rearward with a flat-bladed prytool.
  2.  
  3. Lift the seat cushion upward and remove it from the vehicle.
  4.  

To install:

  1. Place the seat cushion into place and push downward on the seat cushion to engage the retaining clips.
  2.
