Rear Stabilizer Shaft

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Raise and safely support the rear of the vehicle securely on jackstands.
  2.  
  3. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
  4.  
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft link bolts.
  6.

  1. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets and nuts from the stabilizer shaft.

Fig. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets (5) and nuts (6) from the shaft (2). Then remove the shaft from the rear crossmember (1)

  1. Remove the stabilizer shaft from the vehicle.
  2.  

To install:

  1. Install the stabilizer shaft to the vehicle.
  2.  
  3. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets to stabilizer shaft and nuts. Do not tighten the nuts at this time.
  4.  
  5. Install the stabilizer shaft link bolts, and tighten as follows:
    1. Tighten the link bolts to 51 ft. lbs. (69 Nm).
    2.  
    3. Tighten the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts to 39 ft. lbs. (53 Nm).
    4.  

  6.  
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8.
