Windshield Washer Pump

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION



  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Raise and safely support the front of the vehicle securely on jackstands.
  4.  
  5. Remove the left front splash shield and the air intake duct.
  6.

  1. Detach the electrical connector and the hose from the washer pump.
  2.  
  3. Unplug the electrical connector from the solvent level sensor.
  4.  
  5. Detach the electrical connector and remove the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) from the bracket.
  6.  
  7. Remove the three screws securing the washer solvent container from the vehicle, then remove it from the vehicle.

  1. Drain and recycle the washer solvent.
  2.  
  3. Remove the washer pump from the container by pulling the top out from the container while twisting lightly.
  4.  
  5. Pull the seal from the container if necessary.
  6.  


NOTE
Lubricate the seal with washer solvent for ease of installation.

To install:

  1. Install the seal to the washer solvent container.
  2.  
  3. Push the washer pump down into the solvent container completely.
  4.  
  5. Push the top of the washer pump into the side of the container.
  6.  
  7. Install the three screws securing the washer solvent container.
  8.  
  9. Mount the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) to the bracket and attach the electrical connector.
  10.  
  11. Attach the electrical connector to the solvent level sensor.
  12.  
  13. Attach the electrical connector and the hose to the washer pump.
  14.  
  15. Install the left front splash shield and the air intake duct.
  16.  
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18.  
  19. Connect the negative battery cable.
  20.
