REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Discharge the air conditioning system.
  4.  
  5. Remove the compressor hose. Disconnect the inlet hose to the receiver/drier. Plug all open hoses to prevent contamination.
  6.  
  7. Remove the hood latch and lock assembly, Metro only.
  8.  
  9. Disconnect the condenser cooling fan connector.
  10.  
  11. Remove the condenser retaining bolts, condenser, cooling fan and receiver/drier.
  12.  

To install:
  1. Install the condenser and cooling fan assembly. Tighten condenser mounting bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
  2.  
  3. Add 0.7-1.0 oz. of refrigerant oil to the condenser before connecting hoses.
  4.  
  5. Connect the inlet and outlet hoses to the assembly. Tighten hoses to 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Connect the electrical connectors.
  8.  
  9. Install the hood latch and lock. Tighten to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm).
  10.  
  11. Evacuate and recharge the system.
