REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2.  
  3. Discharge the air conditioning system.
  4.  
  5. Remove the glove compartment, as required.
  6.  
  7. Disconnect all electrical wiring and cables from the blower case.
  8.  
  9. Remove the blower case retaining bolts and case assembly.
  10.  
  11. Disconnect and plug the inlet and outlet lines to the evaporator.
  12.  
  13. Remove the upper and lower housing retaining bolts and remove the evaporator assembly from the vehicle.
  14.  
  15. Separate the case housing and remove the evaporator core.
  16.  

To install:
  1. Install the evaporator core and assemble the case housing.
  2.  
  3. Install the housing, upper and lower housing retaining bolts. Tighten mounting bolts to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).
  4.  
  5. Connect the inlet and outlet lines to the evaporator. Tighten inlet pipe to 26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm) and outlet pipe to 33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).
  6.  
  7. Install the blower case and retaining bolts.
  8.  
  9. Connect all electrical wiring and cables to the blower case.
  10.  
  11. Install the glove compartment, if removed.
  12.  
  13. Evacuate and recharge the air conditioning system.
  14.  
  15. Connect the negative battery cable.
  16.
