On Sprint, code letters and numbers are stamped on the identification tag located on the left side (front) of the transaxle housing. The tag denotes the serial number and the date of manufacture. These numbers are important when ordering service replacement parts.

On Metro, the identification number is located on the top of the transaxle case next to the shift lever backup and neutral safety switch assembly. This seven digit number is stamped into the case and refers to model year and serial number sequence.
